Mac Venomous Villains Collection 2010/10/19

This is it.

Many inquired about the color of Etude House I showed in some postings.
Fairly many bloggers answered to them through replies and the bulletin board.
It’s hard to explain with only one product so I did this posting….!
^^

Mac Nail Lacquer Mean &Green 10ml $ 12.70.
It’s a brand new Nail Lacquer of Mac, which was released on late September or early October.
It’s a limited edition so I don’t know whether it is still there.
I feel little unfamiliar with it as I haven’t purchased Mac’s limited editions.

At the time band new goods release, my teacher takes me to the store.
I went to see Collection without any expect and it actually didn’t catch my eyes.
It’s not my style and I had similar and half-the-price American products so I passed through it.

But… this Venomous Villains Maleficent Nail Lacquer caught my eyes…
It was released in three colors…which are similar to the color of blowfly!
But all the color were so beautiful.
I thought I couldn’t buy all of them, so I chose Mean & Green which is most similar to the color of Korean blowfly.

It looks beautiful like a hologram, but it’s better when you actually see it.
After base coat, I painted it for one time.
It colors not clearly but lightly and the shining pearl looks attractive.
Mean & Green is a purple color in green pearl? Or is it green color with purple pearl?

The color changes according to the angle you see it.
For me, it’s best to paint it once.
Its color is not the one perfect or clear, but it looks unique.

Painting twice makes this look.
Painting twice with top coating.
The nails inclined so their color looks green/khaki, but when they are vertical, the color look purple. Gold is also shown.

After I purchased it, I tried it on nails of my friends…it goes well with nails in every color.
It feels little different according to the skin toe, but it’s good.

But what is important is, nails which bloggers requested are not these one.
It’s not just a Mean And Green.

The price of Mac Nail Lacquer is $ 12.70.
I bought products with other ones so I don’t know whether I got a discount or not.
I can’t find the receipt.

Not all the colors released are good, some are country-like…but it’s good in price and the color is pretty.
Hey, there’re products cost $ 1.69 or $ 2.54.

The price is good, but it’s still over 5 times the other products.
So I’m trying to use it up at least half. One of the methods is this.

Chanel Le Vernis Midnight Red + Nail Lacquer Mean & Green

I didn’t intend to do so. After painting once, it was weak, so I thought it could be nice to mix it with other colors.
After panting once, it felt a bit stained, but the color got way better after painting twice.
The difference between 10 colors wasn’t that great.

Anyway,
-Red+ Mean & Green + Mean & Green
-Blue + Mean & Green + Mean & Green
-Gray + Mean & Green (Painted once)
.
.
.
.
.

There are differences according to what you apply, how many times you apply, or how you apply.
In last posting, the color caught bloggers’ eyes were Red + Mean & Green, which was painted on my thumbnail ^_^.
My thumb nail was broken…so I painted a new color. All~ Red base.

After painting base coat, paint Chanel Le Vernis Midnight Red color.
Of course, the color doesn’t have to be this.
As it is for expressing red for one-coat base, normal red is fine.

After that, paint Mac Nail Lacquer Mean & Green twice over it.
Then, what’s the difference between this and only painting Mean & Green?

This makes red color more powerful than green. It gives luxurious feeling.
It made me look like a tough girl. So…

I painted lines to express extremely luxurious feeling.

Etude House Mini French 06 French Silver Glitter $ 2.20
There are some weird brushes...But it’s a quiet useful glitter considering its price.
There are some colors but in my point, silver might be the most useful color.
Most paint it on the edge of the nail, but I painted it on cuticle.

In fact, I have small cuticle, but it’s good to hide cuticle.
Painting twice is enough.
If the nail grows, paint just that part.
It seems to be perfect for those who are not confident for self-nailing or having trouble with clean painting.

Anyway, this ‘rich madame’ version is not what I usually wear, but it seems to be quite good when change is needed in my style.
It seems I am acting like a Mac employee again following last eye shadow posting.

The winner of this event is msn1110.
Please leave your name, address, and contact number on the bulletin board.
The sailing will be done this week.
I will do my best to make it ASAP ^_^

I appreciate all your participation although it is just a sample, not regular one.
Thank you so much for your interest!
It is hard to tell there might be another event…as I can’t give you all.
Good Bye!!

Mac Eye Shadow recommendations - Goldmine, Soba, Retro-speck.....Mac Eyeshadow and Back 2 Mac

Last posting, about Etude House, I think I was out of mind at that time.
I hurried it because of the next schedule. Haste made waste.

I forgot to post not only a text but an image.
I didn’t mention how it is good to apply foundation under the highlighter…
And I forgot the picture of mixing with a spatula.

I added them in red letter, and one more image.

And one more thing, I won’t take any more models.
I didn’t expect this great popularity. Thank you so much.
At first, I intended to select only one model, but I will handle it with flexibility.

I was shocked to see people who said to do modeling without pay and who just wanted to watch my work.

I read all the resumes with great interest.
Thank all of you.
I will announce the winner soon.

I bought much eye shadows recently…
I searched many brands and looked for colors I don’t have.
I bought Bobby Brown’s and some cheap ones…
but most were Mac’s. My teacher told me to do so…

So I will tell you about my favorite colors of Mac.
I‘ll show you a list of recommendable colors.

You should know that it’s not the color you use every day.
I decided to post these because they are valuable and they are colors which artists prefer.

I want to tell one thing to ones who Mac eye shadow.
Please buy only colors that worth purchasing.

Mac Eye shadow 4 spheres case is newly released.
I think it’s last September or October…
I don’t remember the price…
The case seems more durable and luxurious.
Its magnet helps shadow to attach and detach with its case.
But if you put an eye shadow, it’s meaningless.
It’s almost impossible to relocate because it can break the shadow.
So, it’s better to pay attention when you first place them.

Bobby Brown shadow makes it possible to recognize the color, but Mac doesn’t.
Some may label the color, but I don’t want to label anything on it.
So I remember the placement.

My teacher said using transparent 4 spheres case is good for travelling.
I used palette containing 15 colors. But I agreed with my teacher’s advice and I replaced it with 4 spheres case.

I want to join a Mac eye shadow detachment competition, if there is one.
I’ve got some know-how. If you haven’t, just ask the store staff do so.

After finishing it, they give a lipstick with 6 empty or used cases.
SO take this chance.
But at this point, there was no lipstick that caught my eyes.
I’ll wait for new colors to be released.

Starting from left side, gold, pink, violet, orange, brown, green, blue

You can pack a 4 spheres case, it’s good either you pack it with similar colors, or with colors that match each other well.

<Gold>
>Gorgeous gold/Goldmine
Glam/ Limited Edition (don’t know the name)

 <Beige>
>Goldbit/ Nylon
Limited Edition/ Retro-Speck

<Pink>

>Yogurt (discontinued)/ Da Bling
Cranberry/ Beauty Marked

<Violet>

>Vex/ Crystal
Beautiful Iris/ Parfait Amour

<Orange>

>Limited Edition/ Limited Edition
Expensive Pink/ Mythology

<Green>

>Lustre Leaf/ himmermoss
Green Smoke/ Humid

<Blue>

>Moon’s Reflecion/ Tilt
Freshwater/ Flashtrack

There’s one more thing though it’s not on the picture.

>Brule/ Contrast
Nighttrain/ Soba

And there’re two more limited editions…
But they are not purchasable at this point.

Please check beige, gold, pink, orange, and brown which every woman likes to use.
You can choose others according to your taste.
The colors I wrote in red are the ones I like.
Above these, there are many fabulous colors in eye shadows.
I wrote a list of some colors that I want to buy some time.

- Crème de Violet
- Carbon (I recommend this one strongly to ones who like smoky makeup!)
- Electra
- Dazzlelight
- Aquadisac
- Pink Venus
- Swish
- Sweet Lust
- All that glitters
- Paradisco
- Honey Lust
- Juxt
- Romantic
- Sketch
- Lily
- Naked Lunch

>These colors are recommended, too.

People who use eye shadows might have an upset experience of having too many similar colors.
You might have bought each of them by its beautiful color,
but they ended up a similar color collection.
So..I’m giving you a tip.

>1. Determine to stop impulse buying.

: It’s the best way to prevent buying similar colors.
You should be careful either when you buy colors that you use often or colors you use in only one season.
Eye shadow is one that needs consideration.

>2. Check the internet site.
As most color brands have a great web site these days,
you can check the colors even in your room.
So if someone recommends a color, check it through the site before visiting the store.

>3. Compare it with what you have.
: Gather up the similar colors.
Let’s take an example. You hear good things of Mac’s ‘Espresso’.
You check the internet and you find it brown tone. Then, you take out all the brown colors.
And pick out some colors that seem similar to the color on the computer screen.

>4. Compare them with it in coloring.
: Put these colors in your bag and visit the shop.
Apply them on your hand.(There are enough couches to test the goods.)
Then, compare it with the color you wanted to buy.
You don’t have to bring your bag if it’s near your house.
You can just test on your hand.

>5. The choice is all yours.
: If its color seems pretty similar, buy it if it has value purchasing, if not, don’t.
It’s just for preventing thoughtless purchase!!

I use most of my colors and I remember them, I hardly make a mistake.
But if you don’t, it’s wise to do a color test beforehand.
Everyone checks the color.
You should compare it with what you have.
This procedure is also applied to when you buy a lip gloss or a lipstick.
When you feel a sudden attraction of a product, you must use this procedure.
Popular colors copy each other.
The difference can be really small.
With this small effect, you can save your budget quiet much.

Mac studio Tech Foundation, Lee Kyung Min Croquis Waterdrop Foundation, Cream foundation, Compact Foundation, Compact Foundation recommendation

Unfinished Compact Foundation

Lee Kyung Min Croquis Waterdrop Foundation SPF27PA++ 14G / $ 40.11

As artists go into home shopping market, there are advantages of easy purchasing products in great feature with detail instructions…but there also are disadvantages which I can’t mention in detail.
Just, I sometimes think disadvantages are larger than advantages.
I think it’s not a very good one.

Croquis Waterdrop… this one… there was an article featuring its advantages. Is it real?
I don’t care it very much... But I have questions about it.

It has been called a finish with a high-moisture…so I thought it to be a real watery one.
No, actually, I wanted to check it myself.
I don’t trust cosmetics from home shopping at all.
Then why I used this cosmetic from home shopping…

Posting at this point… I don’t remember when I did it.
Anyway, I’ll tell you about the color before I mention the word stickiness, covering, sustainability.
#21 light beige (for normal skin)
#23 beige (for dark skin)
These are the ones…
I selected light beige for normal skin.
Applying this without consideration caused me a question about what it is… its too dark…
Is it a foundation for shading?
Its color is more shocking than the color of Benefit Gorgeous.
Hmm, but it’s watery…. Well, damp might be a more correct word.
So, in my point of view, it’s damp due to the oil.
So I won’t recommend it to people with oily skin.
I don’t want to say anything else.
I just wanted to mention its expensive price.
I’ve been recognizing cosmetics from home shopping as bargain sale… but the prices are soaring these days.
Of course the quality has been upgraded.
What is a problem is that the rising rate of the price surpasses the upgrading rate of quality.
It’s the producers’ selfishness, who think the customers sitting ducks.

Mac Studio Tech Foundation 10G/ $ 39.26

There are some friends who have been using this for 3~5 years.
They stick to cream foundation for their reasons.
Some may are satisfied with it very much, but others say there’s buy this because there’s nothing better than this.
So, whatever the reason… it has a attraction makes people to choose.

As time goes, various compact foundation have been released…and the average quality of the products soared incredibly.
They supplemented the flaws of Mac Studio Tech Foundation.

Frankly, my friends don’t use it anymore. But that I recommended Chanel compact foundation has some responsibility for this in some point.
As they are not thoughtless followers, it should be their choice.
Then what made they use other products?

Most people made a positive assessment to Mac Studio Tech.
But all said “I’m tired of this.” What made them tired of this

Watery foundation is good for dry skin but not for oily skin as this gives oil not only moisture.
But Mac Studio Tech Foundation is a bit different.
First, it covers very well.
The covering get better when applied on part needs light applying.
It’s good for people who were disappointed watery foundation with not enough skin-penetration. The stickiness is also good and it has little darkening as a Mac foundation.
It’s composed of moisture particle and powder substance.
It’s great.

But flaw is in an unexpectedly the case.
Like Benefit Gorgeous it has sponge at the bottom as it is a compact-typed cream foundation.
So it causes an unexpected accident because of this environmentally great case.

.
.
.
.
.

Mac Studio Tech is a watery product.
It applies well as it’s creamy. And it applies lightly as yo ~

The foundation is wrapped in foil.
You may it’s considerate of Mac or it’s excessive to do so.

To my cynical view, I don’t get the point of why they use foil.
Does it mean is not sustainable without a foil?
Is that because of possibility of moisture loss?

I can see the water drops when I unwrap the foil.
It may be felt like an extremely watery product, but I don’t think so.
It will dry away soon.

Worry comes to reality.
When I used it for first time, I was surprised by its moisture.
But it starts to get weird as time goes.
It means this moisture foundation become a powdery matt foundation.
As time goes, the watery feeling goes away.

Of course it’s a story of those who doesn’t listen to others,
because salespeople emphasize on not unwrapping completely.
It should be used carefully.
I don’t think we should use this with that effort.

They also advice to spray mist on it when it fills like dry.
I think it’s better to use domestic products which cost half the price.

I think it’s better to request a case upgrading.
Their problem solving method is disappointing.
So in my point of view, the Korean brunch has no intend of upgrading.
“It’s generation where one who has great problem solving ability succeeds” said my sister.
Considering that, 21century for Mac is awful.
As a user who loves Mac’s eyeshadow, blusher and strobe cream, I feel sorry for them.

Ah~ do you think it’s a Philadelphia cream cheese?
I eat this without unwrapping the foil.
Keeping it with foil looks uncomfortable to me.
But it’s ok as it’s a food.
I’m worried about foundations be labeled ‘keep it refrigerated at 2~10 degrees Celsius.

Since I got the present, I used it with foil half-opened.
The product can be kept in original condition only by with way.

So… by now… It’s a solution to keep the foil.

In addition, You shoul be careful about the temperature difference between inside and outside.
In this condition, keeping the foil can’t prevent the product from drying.
So, this has a limitation in keeping the condition.
It’s what this product is.
Look at Benefit Gorgeous, the product is on the upside but it doesn’t dry away.
Mac said it be a real moisture powder with moisture, powder, emollient,
but it has technical flaw of evaporating.

In conclusion, get a case from Lock And Lock..(?).
Then, Mac would advertize it in name of ‘Mac and Lock And Lock’s collaboration! Limited edition. Studio Tech that doesn’t dries Try this’

If Mac cares the customers, they should make light and transparent rubber packer, not this dangling foil!

Human is made to think and give efforts to invent things when he needs something.
So Mac, why don’t you give some efforts?
Powerful executives aren’t needed.
One active manager who noticed the necessity of change.
The complain about moisture was long. Let’s look at the sponge.
Mac calls it a special sponge, but it’s nothing but a durable sponge.
It gets stain when washed as other sponges.
I don’t feel better applying effect from it.
Sponge from E-mart also applies well.
Requests for sponge were so much that I almost finished the posting.
The posting will be held after few thousand years later.

The finishing touch in a condition moisture sustains is not matt but it’s not sticky and little powdery with not that dry feeling.
It is watery right after applying it, but skin surface gets doft in no time.
But it is disappointing in that it doesn’t have fine particles stays on wrinkles on face despite of the high price.

There are 20 colors in USA.
Mac and Bobby Brown has variety of colors, but Asians need careful choice as they have yellow-toned skin.
Some attractive colors may the skin look more yellowish or make white color look natural than gorgeous.
So it is good color for the skin of staffs at Mac store. But, it doesn’t goes well with pale or yellowish skin. If those people are to purchase at department stores, they need to test products of Shu Uemura, Shiseido, Luna Sol. Domestic products can be perfect to your skin, may be.

I used Studio Tech NC15, which is known as the brightest one in Korea... it gives natural feeling rather than bright feeling.
I don’t have much complains about this, I sometimes like to express natural looks.
NC20 may fit best to general skin tone.
The problem is… like I said before… natural and healthy rather than gorgeous? Some may feel dull.
It’s close to Asian foundation like Shu Uemura rather than American foundation like Bobby Brown.

You must test it before purchasing.
Oh, Mac Studio Tech testing must be focused on color test, because it’s not meaningful except color checking to actually visit Mac store.
As Mac store has all the products unwrapped, they are dry already.
So, you can’t test the product perfectly.
So you may be disappointed.

You might have questions. What to do after the product dries?
Throw it away?
No. Only, the feeling of light applying is gone and it floats or crumples easily.

If you have the skill to take care of it, you can use it as a new type of foundation.
Dried Studio Tech is just a matt foundation.
Moisture shrinks and oil is not felt… It’s perfectly matt in some way.
If you stray mist like Mac says, it can be nothing.
In my case, I applied it on scars after lightly applying liquid and it was useful.

Mac Studio Tech…
it’s a good product if you can stand its price and the efforts needed to take care of it.
Honestly, it is worth experiencing in that luxurious products like Chanel cost $ 59.74 ~ $ 68.27
But it’s not recommendable if you can’t stand this annoying care.
If you cannot but take the foil off, it is of no use for them.
One more thing, given that you use it up totally, the moisture goes away totally, and it becomes rough like foundation particle bales.
Like all my friends and me who treats sponge carefully feel, it feels somewhat dirty.
Why I’m telling you this…is because 0.5% of my friends though it dirty.

Did you guys saw the movie <Inception>?

I enjoyed it very much….

Music of Edith Piaf’s song which alarms ‘kick’ attracted me.

My friend wanted to incept his manager to double the wage…

I respect some directors…this movie of Christopher Nolan made me deeply consider about his depth.
One chairman of a movie industry said there’s a guy who saw it nine times…so I saw this carefully.
My head went dizzy after the movie.

The G.P.A was fairly high… I don’t think it’s not the best movie of Nolan.
Just, it was special to me because it reminded me of reading <interpretation of dream> which I liked most.

But for ones who dreams too much or dreams lucid dreams often must see this movie.

It may confirm what you’ve been thinking. Especially kick!!
I had a friend who wanted to be a psychiatrist…he asked me to send him a letter about them…
After that, I’m getting into my dream I have ignored for long.

I usually don’t see movies or books twice, but I want to see it once again.
There’s an instruction for this movie...
but if you are not confident to understand it… It would be better to see only the movie.

Anyway, aren’t compact foundations so many?
They’re what I picked out…but there’s more.
